The Sexual Assault Response Coordinator serves as Cannon Air Force Base's liaison for sexual assault prevention and response services. The SARC develops and manages prevention and support programs and activities as directed by the wing commander and complies with congressional and Department of Defense sexual assault program mandates.
The SARC is responsible for implementing and maintaining an installation victim support system to address a broad spectrum of related issues and intervention needs. The SARC is also responsible for developing a response system, which may include a Sexual Assault Response Team to assist with the victim's needs and other areas of interpersonal violence issues.
