Unit Mission Description
The 27 SOMOS Eeecutes global Special Operations taskings as an Air Force component of member of USSOCOM. Responsible for balancing the fleet health with sortie production for all aircraft assigned to the 27th Special Operations Wing. Coordinates and monitors all maintenance activities, maintains aircraft status and serves as focal point for aircraft generations and exercises. Develops flying schedules and provides analysis of production metrics. Provides training for all maintenance personnel. Provides advice and monitors financial, manning, and facilities programs for the 27th Special Operations Maintenance Group. Organizes, trains and equips 103 personnel.
