8/27/2012 - CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Aircrew members with the 522nd Special Operations Squadron recently conducted a training flight from Cannon Air Force Base, N.M.
The flight consisted of in-air refueling and low-level flight operations to assist with the training the squadron's aircrew.
During the flight, nighttime operations were conducted in order to simulate situations flyers might face in real life situations.
The 522 SOS was aboard the MC-130J Commando II during the flight. They used the aircrafts many unique capabilities, one of which includes the modernized refueling system, to reduce refueling time and allow aircrew members to continue executing missions with minor interruptions.
