9/24/2012 - CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Dorm Airmen were able to enjoy a day of hot dogs, hamburgers and fun when the Clovis community sponsored a Swarm the Dorms party at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., Sept. 22, 2012.
The Committee of 50, the Chamber of Commerce, Taco Box, Albertsons, Weinerschnitzel, the locally owned Mcdonalds and several other businesses sponsored the event.
"It's really nice to have the local community care so much about us," said Airman Christina Burklow, 27th Special Operations Communications Squadron cyber security technician. "Events like this are a good opportunity for everyone to relax, hang out and spend some time together."
Along with the free food, drinks and games, Airmen could also enjoy music being provided courtesy of Mix 107.5.
"The Airmen of Cannon give so much - their time, their family, sometimes even their lives," said Scott Haulder, Plateau representative. "We are going to make every effort, no matter how small, to show that we appreciate them."
