A High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) crew fires a reduced range practice rocket at Melrose Air Force Range N.M. in support of Emerald Warrior April 24, 2013. Emerald Warrior simulated special operations components in urban and irregular warfare settings.The exercise leveraged lessons learned from Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and other historical events to provide combatant commanders with a better-trained and ready force.
