AFSOC senior leaders meet at Commando Rally

CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Senior leaders from across Air Force Special Operations Command gathered here Oct. 13 through Oct. 16, for the Fall Commando Rally.

Lt. Gen. Brad Heithold, AFSOC commander, met with the AFSOC staff directors, and leaders from Special Operations Command, 1st Special Operations Wing, 24th Special Operations Wing, 27th Special Operations Wing, 58th Special Operations Wing, 352nd Special Operations Wing, 353rd Special Operations Group, 137th Special Operations Wing, 150th Special Operations Wing, 193rd Special Operations Wing, and 919th Special Operations Wing to discuss the way forward for the command.

Heithold laid out the strategic direction for the command moving into the future; and, the staff engaged in a roundtable discussion on Mission Command, Strategic Appreciation, and Command and Control. More significantly, Commando Rally gave a chance for the AFSOC staff to "Rally" around the wing commanders and discuss issues for the staff to tackle in order to enable AFSOC's Airmen to succeed any time, any place.
