REMARKS FROM COL. HAMMONS, 27TH SPECIAL OPERATIONS WING COMMANDER
It’s my honor to invite everyone to the 2018 Cannon Air Force Base Air Show, Space & Tech Fest, “Air Commandos on the High Plains”. This year we celebrate the long-standing partnership between Cannon Air Force Base and the High Plains community which provides us the opportunity to showcase the amazing capabilities of the 27th Special Operations Wing.
We are excited to show you all the incredible aspects of our AFSOC specific assets such as the AC-130W Spectre Gunship, MC-130J Commando II, CV-22 Osprey and the MQ-9 Reaper along with a variety of other aircraft and exhibits that will be on display.
In addition to our own aircraft, we’re proud to have the USAF Thunderbirds and Canadian Royal Air Force F-18 Demo teams performing this year. Overall this will be an event that highlights multiple types of technology and capabilities, both in the air and on the ground.
I’m excited about the amazing display we’ll be putting on for all of our neighbors in the surrounding community, this is our opportunity to say ‘thank you’ for all of your support and give you chance to experience the Air Force and Air Force Special Operations Command mission.
