In an effort to continue good relations with local health providers and invite new subspecialty providers to join the Cannon network, the 27th Special Operations Medical Group welcomed community partners to its annual open house Friday.

Healthcare providers from a range of specialties took the opportunity to market their services in hopes of helping the Cannon clinic provide quality care to Air Commandos and their families.

The open house also helped Cannon's medics highlight the wing's mission for in-town partners, according to Col. John Mammano, 27 SOMDG commander.

"The partner open house was a great opportunity for our network providers to learn more about us and the community we support," Mammano said. "It was really impressive to see so many potential partners in attendance that wanted to learn more about us and how they could support our incredible mission."

Mammano and the rest of Cannon's medical team also expressed their appreciation to current partners for their support in caring for Air Commandos, setting goals to continue improving health and healthcare delivery for Airmen and families on base and in the surrounding community.

"Readiness for our fellow Air Commandos and their families is our number one priority," said Mammano. "It is critical that we continue to explore ways to expand subspecialty services and enhance continuity of care."
