Spring Break entertainment on Cannon Published March 4, 2013 By Airman 1st Class Ericka Engblom 27th Special Operations Wing Public Affairs CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Do the kids have nothing to do this Spring Break? The Youth Center is scheduled to hold many activities for children during spring break at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M. The Youth Center is geared for kids ages 9-18 and is open five days a week. It regularly puts on theme nights, tournaments and trips for military dependents. "We are teaching the kids diversity by exposing them to different cultures," said Laekeisha Shavers, 27th Special Operations Force Support Squadron child youth program leader. "We try to host activities they don't have at home or school." Activities this year include a Just Dance 4 tournament, movie night, trip to Lubbock, Texas, and a laser tag tournament.
