Hundreds of eager and enthusiastic spectators filled the Eastern New Mexico University Greyhound Arena for a family-friendly Harlem Globetrotters basketball game at Portales, N.M., Feb. 5.

The Globetrotters lived up to their legacy, providing the crowd with a comical, energy-packed game that left a smile on every face in the audience, both young and old.

Community members, local officials, ENMU faculty and students, as well as Air Commandos from Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., packed the arena and courtside seats to enjoy the well-known team do what they do best - play basketball!

Showmanship and sportsmanship were not in short supply, as a mixture of skill and talent collided to keep fans on the edge of their seats - never knowing what to expect next.

"The best part of this for me is watching my sons' first basketball game with them," said Lt. Col. Chester Dooly, 73rd Special Operations Squadron director of operations. "This is another great event that the community worked hard to put together for us to enjoy time with our family and friends."
