Arguably one of the most challenging and rewarding jobs in the force - only the best and brightest answer the call to help maintain and develop the national defense structure that requires a steady flow of motivated men and women who perform a wide range of duties in the world's greatest Air Force.

A member with the special duty assignment team from Air Education and Training Command visited Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., to speak with Cannon's Air Commandos about potentially taking the next step in career progression, Jan. 23.

Recruiters, Military Training Instructors and Military Training Leaders are currently in high-demand. These Airmen are responsible for the number and quality of men and women who enlist to begin their Air Force careers. These jobs are among the most vital to the future success of the Air Force.

"We are looking at development - we want to groom and polish the best of the best," said Master Sgt. Daniel Annese, AETC special duty assignment team recruiter. "We are offering high-performers the chance to become better leaders, stronger supervisors and overall superior Airmen."

Top personnel from nearly every career field are eligible for special duty assignments. The ideal applicants are sincerely motivated, willing to accept any geographical assignment, have excellent physical training scores, and outstanding performance evaluations.

Currently, AETC is targeting senior Airmen through master sergeants for select special duty assignments.

"We are willing to talk to those members with a serious passion for taking on this responsibility," Annese added. "This is an amazing opportunity that can set leaders up for future success, broadening their Air Force experience and setting them above and beyond the rest."
