The 27th Special Operations Wing hosted several bands as part of the EPIC Tour summer concert series June 27, in the Drop Zone at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M.

Gabe Kubanda, Lost In Atlantis and School Boy Humor provided live entertainment to Air Commandos stationed here as well as members of the Canon community.

"We normally perform for a mix of colleges and high schools," said Gabe Kubanda, solo acoustic performing artist and tour manager. "We decided to do a military tour this summer as a way to do something special for our troops."

Kubanda explained a common unfamiliarity he and his tour members share toward military customs and lifestyle. The artists all expressed their hopes that these performances help boost morale of military members as well as alleviate some of the stressors they may be facing.

"Not many bands take time to consider the amazing people who are serving our nation," said Elisabetha Rosnowski, Lost In Atlantis lead vocalist. "This is just something small we can do to show our appreciation for military members."

The bands will continue their tour through August and plan on making another appearance at Cannon before September.

"This entire experience has been really positive and we've had a blast putting on these shows for military bases," said Phil Evans, School Boy Humor lead vocalist. "We want to thank Cannon for having us and hopefully this performance here isn't our last."
