After ending on Dec. 15, the annual Combined Federal Campaign at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., surpassed their goal of $150,000 raising a total of $171,883, the largest amount ever raised here.

The CFC is a program that allows military members and federal government employees the opportunity to pledge toward various charities.

Among all those that donated, there were several outstanding unit highlights:
  • The 27th Special Operations Aircraft Maintenance Squadron had the most funds raised at $20,469, and the most donations at 141.
  • The 27th Special Operations Medical Supply Squadron had an outstanding 55 percent participation.
  • The 524th Special Operations Squadron had the highest average donation of more than $1,000.
"Cannon's military personnel and civil service civilians have gone above and beyond yet again, this time raising 115 percent of the commander's goal for Cannon's highest ever CFC donation," said Capt. Stephen Emborski, 27th Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron Explosives Ordnance Disposal Flight commander and CFC project manager. "This willingness to give clearly demonstrates the AFSOC Critical Attribute of Selflessness in our Western Air Commandos."

If there are any completed pledge forms remaining, please hand them to your unit representative as soon as possible. For assistance in finding a unit representative, contact Capt. Emborski by e-mail or call 575-784-2909.
