Top Cannon family sought Published Oct. 27, 2010 By 27th Special Operations Wing Public Affairs CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Nominations are now being accepted to recognize Cannon's best military family. November is Military Family Month and since 2006 the base has recognized its exceptional families that best exemplify the total Air Force concept. Families may self-nominate or be nominated by someone who is familiar with the family's accomplishments. To nominate a family submit an essay (no more than three pages, double spaced) to the Airman & Family Readiness Center by Nov. 22. Describe the family and how they personify a strong military family during the last year. Consider their strengths, the challenges they face, overcome or manage, their volunteer activities or educational accomplishments. Highlight anything that sets this family apart. Submit the essay either by e-mail to Tashara.duckett@cannon.af.mil, or in person to Bldg. 1802, the A&FRC, by close of business Nov. 22. To ensure impartiality and anonymity, do not identify the family by name. Use initials or relationship (i.e., TD, husband, daughter, etc.) throughout the essay.
