Former SOCOM commander to speak at Cannon Published Aug. 9, 2010 CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Retired Air Force Gen. Charles Holland, former Commander, U.S. Special Operations Command, will address Cannon Airmen and their families at 9:30 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. at the base theater, August 13. He will also speak to base leadership during a professional development luncheon at the Pecos Trail Dining Facility at 11:30 a.m. Accompanying the general will be retired Air Force Col. John Carney Jr, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. General Holland, who retired in 2003, is an independent consultant with an Air Force Senior Mentor role.
