Cannon, Clovis firefighters team up for training

  • Published
While Clovis firefighters keep their town safe with  constant training on structural fires, they must also keep their skills current for anything that might happen at the Clovis Municipal Airport.

That's when Cannon and its firefighters lend a hand, providing them a mock aircraft and real-world scenario training.

On July 26, 18 Clovis firefighters joined nine from the Cannon Fire Department who helped them meet annual Federal Aviation training requirements for fighting aircraft fires. The base firefighters, whose primary focus is fighting aircraft fires, provided safety backup as their Clovis brethren underwent the two-hour review.
