Predator, debris recovered from ground mishap Published July 29, 2010 CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- The MQ-1B Predator that was involved in the July 28 ground mishap has been recovered and on-scene responders have removed all debris. The extent of aircraft damage is unknown. The Predator was travelling in a southerly direction on a taxiway when it departed the taxiway and impacted the south perimeter fence near the Portales gate and came to rest adjacent to a field. Curry County Sheriff's Office personnel assisted in securing the scene. At this time, the airfield has resumed normal operations. An investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing at this time.
