AFAF drive extended Published May 5, 2010 CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- The Air Force Assistance Fund drive currently under way here has been extended to May 14. The base's goal for the wing this year is $57,000. As of May 3, $38,115 has been donated. Each unit has assigned a keyworker to make contact with all assigned military and civilian personnel. Although contributions cannot be made online, AF Form 2561 is available at http://www.afassistancefund.org/, where it can be filled out, printed and then signed and given to a keyworker. The Air Force Assistance Fund drive is an annual effort to raise funds for the charitable affiliates that provide support to the Air Force family (active duty, retirees, reservists, guard and their dependents, including surviving spouses) in need. Last year Cannon contributed nearly $33,000 and received $127,000 in relief support. To donate, contact your unit keyworker.
