The Defense Biometric Identification System will be introduced to the base  that will use new  technology  to provide better security for Cannon, its residents and employees.

By Jan. 1, 2010 all base personnel will be required to register through the new system for base access. DBIDS is designed to easily verify the access authorization of individuals entering military installations by scanning ID cards.

All personnel on the installation, to include contractors and visitors, must register in the system. Children who do not have identification cards will be excepted.
