Shootout at the combat arms corral Published April 14, 2009 By 27th Special Operations Wing Public Affairs Office CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Have you ever wondered if you had what it takes to be a competition shooter? Active-duty Airmen can find out by signing up for the Excellence in Competition match hosted by Combat Arms of the 27th Special Operations Security Forces Squadron. May 11 and 12 will be devoted to rifle shooting and May 13 is the scheduled date for the pistol match, with three separate times available each day. Airmen who shoot in the top 10 percent may be eligible for the EIC medal. Combat Arms will provide all weapons, ammunition and authorized equipment for the event. Active-duty Airmen interested in signing up for the competition should call 784-1375 no later than May 8 to confirm which date and time they would like to shoot.
