CANNON AIR FORCE BASE N.M. -- Water turned Whispering Winds Golf Course into a lake, following 3.62 inches of rain Aug. 15-17. This forced closure of the course. The 27th Special Operations Civil Engineer Operations Flight began pumping 400 gallons of water per minute out of the golf course Aug. 18. The course will remain closed until the water is removed and the grass dries. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class James R. Bell)
