Clovis Wildcat High School tuba players practice with the rest of the band July 30. This can only mean that the new school year will soon be here. Local area schools begin Aug.18, except for kindergartners, who begin Aug. 13. Many school and clothing items are available sans sales tax in New Mexico Aug. 1-3 as well as in Texas, Aug. 15-17.
