CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Stop signs will replace the flashing lights at Arcadia and Torch streets beginning Nov. 15. A study by base safety, engineering and fire department officials determined that the flashing lights confused some drivers when fire trucks from the nearby fire department rolled to a call and posed a potential safety hazard as well. Drivers must pull over and yield to all emergency response vehicles they are responding to a call with lights and sirens flashing. (Air Force photo by Greg Allen)
