CANNON AFB, N.M. -- From approximately April 23, 2024, to Oct. 2, 2024, the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be conducting construction to install a traffic signal at the intersection of U.S. Highway 60/84 and New Mexico Highway 467.
This signal will help reduce accidents and provide clear rights of way for both directions of traffic on U.S. Highway 60/84 and New Mexico Highway 467.
Expect heavier traffic on U.S. Highway 60/84 during this timeframe. County Road N will be closed to all traffic from approximately April 23, 2024, to May 19, 2024. New Mexico 467 will be closed to all traffic May 19, 2024, to Sept. 25, 2024.

Cannon AFB is currently anticipating the following estimated construction timeline:
- Approximately April 23 to May 19: County Road N going northbound will be closed, and sections of U.S. Highway 60/84 will be reduced to a single lane.
- Approximately May 19 to Sept. 25: New Mexico Highway 467 going southbound will be closed, and sections of U.S. Highway 60/84 will be reduced to a single lane.
- Approximately Sept. 26 to Oct. 2: All roads will be restored to normal operations.
