CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. -- Cannon Air Force Base will host Wings Over Cannon on June 6, 2026. The event will feature aerial demonstrations, static aircraft displays, STEM exhibits, food vendors, live music and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
Admission is free, but tickets are required for all attendees ages 5 and older. To help visitors prepare for their visit, Cannon AFB has compiled the following information. INSTALLATION ENTRY, AIR SHOW ENTRY, PARKING AND TICKETS
- Admission is free; however, everyone age 5 and older requires an air show ticket.
- Tickets are available at: https://forms.attendstar.com/wings-over-cannon
- Anyone age 18 and older must present one of the following at the installation gate:
- REAL ID
- DoW ID Card
- Passport
- Individuals without an approved form of identification will not be allowed base access.
- No campers/RVs/or oversize vehicles larger than a 15 passenger van will be allowed access to the installation.
- Expect delays when entering the installation. All property and vehicles are subject to search.
- All DoW ID card holders and DVs are instructed to use the Main Gate (off 60/84), far right line. The Entry Control Point (ECP) for DoW ID card holders is located next to the Fire Department. The ECP for DVs is Base Operations.
- If you purchased VIP parking, post the VIP parking pass on your dashboard or have it ready to show on your mobile device. VIP parking/tickets will use the Main Gate, left lanes. Once in the parking lot, let the attendant know that you have a VIP parking pass.
- Foreign nationals must use the Main Gate, left lanes. Once parked, they will identify themselves as a foreign national to security at the ECP.
- General admission can use either the Main Gate, left lanes, or the Portales Gate (off 467).
- Designated handicap parking is available for properly tagged vehicles; please inform parking attendant if handicap access is required. Handicap parking is available through both Main and Portales gates.
- Once parked, individuals will enter the Air Show through ECP at parking area. ECPs will have metal detectors and all items are subject to search.
- Have your Air Show ticket printed or ready to scan on mobile device to enter the ECP.
- Guests over 21 can get an over 21 band at the ECP.
- Guests with children will require to get a band for their child at the ECP to be marked with point of contact information in case of lost child.
- To re-enter the Air Show, guests will need their original Air Show ticket.
- An amnesty box will be available at the ECPs for any prohibited items or you will be escorted to store in your locked vehicle.
- There is NO designated smoking area at the Air Show; smoking/vaping is prohibited.
CHAVEZ HOUSING SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION
Shuttle transportation for DoW ID cardholders will be available from Chavez housing; shuttles will run from 7:30 a.m. to close from Doc Stewart Park to the DoW ID card holder ECP..
SECURITY REMINDERS
- All attendees will be screened by metal detectors at the ECP of the Air Show.
- Additional searches may be conducted as deemed necessary.
- All bags are subject to search.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- All weapons are strictly prohibited, concealed carry is NOT authorized.
- Large backpacks
- Narcotics or marijuana
- Campers/RVs/oversize vehicles larger than a 15 passenger van
BAGS, STROLLERS AND WAGONS
Authorized items include:
- Small personal bags
- Medical bags/equipment
- Diaper bags
- Strollers/Wagons
- Chairs
All items are subject to search.
FOOD AND DRINK
Outside food and drinks are prohibited.
- Young children
- Medical requirements
- Sealed water bottles
- Empty refillable water bottles
Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
Most vendors accept credit cards.
LOST CHILDREN
- Notify event personnel immediately.
- Air show staff will be identifiable by blue shirts.
- Lost children will be escorted to the STEM hangar.

Weather conditions can affect flying schedules and event operations. Visitors should monitor official Wings Over Cannon social media channels and the Cannon AFB website for updates before and during the event.
DRONE POLICY
Due to FAA Temporary Flight Restrictions and Cannon AFB's designation as a No Drone Zone, personal drones are prohibited on or around the installation.
Unauthorized drone activity may result in seizure of equipment and additional penalties.
