After enjoying a meal at the Pecos Trail Dining Facility, Air Commandos might notice that the familiar miniature MC-130J Commando II static display can no longer be found outside. Members of the 27th Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron worked to safely relocate the model and prepared a place of honor at the new 522nd Special Operations Squadron building by pouring a concrete foundation that set just in time for a brief dedication Feb. 24 at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M.

"The move of the static display is a symbol of the transfer of several squadrons to the new buildings across the flightline," said Capt. Anders Hedberg, 522 SOS pilot.

Activity will continue to increase on the newest part of the base as more buildings are completed.
