Several Air Commandos at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., have donated through this year's Angel Tree program.

"More than 129 angels have been sponsored, and many generous donors have taken more than one," said John Fondrick, 27th Special Operations Force Support Squadron work life technician.

Every angel sponsored will assure that a child within the Cannon community will have a gift this holiday season.

This year's Angel Tree program has been the large-scale organizational effort of several units, squadrons, and private organizations volunteering their free time to help out with all the programs sub-components. The Cannon Spouse's Club is handling the sorting and wrapping of the Angel Tree gifts and donations from the local community, preparing all gifts as needed for first sergeants to pick up and distribute Dec. 18-20.

Angel Tree gifts were accepted at the collection box near the tree until noon, Dec. 16.

"If for some reason a big-hearted sponsor is going to be late, has misplaced their angel, or has decided not to sponsor due to extenuating circumstances, please contact me at the Airman and Family Readiness Center, so the angel can be placed back on the tree," said Fondrick.
