The competition consisted of a series of games and challenges between the 27th Special Operations Maintenance Squadron's munitions and weapons flights. They have long shared a friendly rivalry and named the competition by mashing together the names of their flights. Featured at this event were a game of tug-o-war, three different running relays, a cross-tie pulling competition, volleyball, flag football, ultimate frisbee and dodge ball tournaments as well as a chance to throw pies in 27 SOMXS leadership's faces. The event, which started at seven in the morning, included a free breakfast and lunch for the participants with food provided by the International House of Pancakes and Quiznos. "It's good to get the flights together like this," said Master Sgt. Randall Dearth, 27 SOMXS section chief. "These events build the camaraderie and the morale that we need to accomplish the mission." More than 100 people attended the event to include the families of the assembled military members.
