Air Force Special Operations Command recently announced that the winners of the 2014 Aviation Resource Management Award for large unit was the 27th Special Operations Group, who will now go toe-to-toe with the best in the Air Force.

Aviation Resource Managers primarily fill positions in the Host Aviation Resource Management and Squadron Aviation Resource Management offices. The HARM currently manages 1,267 records and performs aviation and parachutist resource management functions, along with monitoring flight physicals, physiological training and managing aviation incentive pay. The unit works hand-in-hand with base agencies such as flight medicine, finance and the military personnel section in the daily accomplishment of duties. The SARM office manages aircrew qualifications, training, and other aircrew and parachutist related programs while working with aircrew.

Having claimed this title for the last four years, members of the 27th SOG are safeguarding the mission by ensuring all aircrew member requirements are met in order to complete wing taskings.
