During National Library Week, communities across the country are able to celebrate libraries in their area. This is the perfect time to remind our Cannon community about our library’s contributions to Air Commandos.

“Unlimited Possibilities” is a fitting theme for this year’s celebration, April 12-18. Libraries serve as a catalyst within their communities, offering opportunities for children and adults to learn, grow and achieve goals.

Whether through offering e-book and technology classes, materials for English-language learners, programs for job seekers or early literacy support, librarians listen to the community they serve and respond.

Libraries have historically served as our nation’s great equalizers of knowledge, providing free access to information for all people. Today’s libraries continue this tradition, helping level the playing field by making both print and digital information affordable, available and accessible to all people.

Here are some fun and interesting things members can do at Cannon’s library:

April 13-18 Adult Scavenger Hunt
April 14 at 5 p.m. Altered Book Craft (for ages 12 and older)
April 16 at noon Your Favorite Book Discussion (bring your lunch)
April 18 at 10 a.m. Drop-In Craft

Help us celebrate the base library by attending one of the many fun events we have planned. For more information, please call 575-784-2786.
