Contractors with Brice Construction Ltd. deploy an air rotary drilling rig as part of a pilot study civil engineering project during a per- and polyfluoroalkyl remedial investigation Nov. 18, 2021, at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico. In May 2021, the U.S. Air Force awarded a $16.6M contract to Cannon AFB for an Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis, or "EE/CA," with a pilot study to evaluate and determine the appropriate interim responses to implement while the investigation is ongoing. Data collected from the pilot study will provide information and help expedite implementation of recommended actions determined by the EE/CA. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Maxwell Daigle)
