Saving the planet, one tree at a time

U.S. Air Force Col. David Piech, 27th Special Operations Mission Support Group commander proclaims April 19, 2012 as Arbor Day at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M. To commemorate this day, a ceremonial tree is planted and children from the Cannon Air Force Base Child Development Center planted some flowers. This ceremony marks the 20th year Cannon Air Force Base has celebrated Arbor Day and Earth Day and the 14th consecutive year that the National Arbor Day Foundation has designated Cannon Air Force Base as a Tree City USA community.
