Responsible for all flight line, back shop and ammunition maintenance in support of the 27th Special Operations group mission, the 27 SOMXG conducts quality maintenance for five different types of aircraft across four squadrons, seven defense contractor groups and 1,400 Air Commando maintainers. The group manages over 90 facilities and an annual budget in excess of $30 million while also providing contract oversight of civilian maintenance on three Non-Standard Aviation program aircraft types.
