Cannon defenders honor law enforcement during Police Week
Cannon Air Commandos participate in a 24-hour vigil run at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., May 15, 2019. The flag they carried displayed the Thin Blue Line symbol, stemming from the term “Thin Red Line,” when a British regiment held off a Russian cavalry charge during the Crimean War in 1854. The Thin Blue Line represents that law enforcement stands between chaos and order or between criminals and the potential victims of crime, and it is primarily used to show solidarity with police.
