Ice Ice, Baby
Icicles hang from the propeller of an AC-130 Whiskey sits on the flight line at Cannon Air Force Base N.M., Jan. 11, 2021. When it comes to removing snow and ice, a team formed by the Dirtboys and other 27th Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron augmentees are in-charge, and are split into two teams. One of the teams is assigned to the airfield while the other is assigned to the base. They are responsible for clearing the snow on the airfield which includes both runways, 10 taxiways, two parking lots and parts of base including entrance gates, all base streets and parking lots along with the munitions storage area access roads.
