Don't leave home without it
The Transition Assistance Program (TAPS) is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aug. 7-9 at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. This program assists Airmen who are separating or retiring from military service and transitioning into the civilian environment. For more information, call 784-4228..

Show me the money
A Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) briefing is from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 14. This is a federal government-sponsored retirement savings and investment plan. Call 784-4228 to sign up.

HealthCare Council meets
The Community Healthcare Council meets at 4 p.m. on August 8 at The Landing.
All 27th Medical Group beneficiaries are invited to attend. The Community Healthcare Council is a forum for the 27th Medical Group to interact with beneficiaries and provide information on medical services, medical group events and the latest health benefit information, along with a forum for feedback to the 27th Medical Group.

School and sports physicals
The 27th Medical Group will conduct school and sports physicals from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on Aug. 11 Students and sports participants can register by calling Central Appointments at 784-2778 or 1-888-544-2778.

Airman's Attic
The Airman's Attic is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 17.. Staff sergeants and below and their dependents can select up to 20 free items per week for family use. Donations are welcome, but do not leave donations outside the door.

Viper Volunteers sought
Do you know outstanding volunteers at Cannon? If so, consider recognizing their efforts through the Viper Volunteer Award program. Selected nominees receive a 27th Fighter Wing coin and recognition for their efforts. For more information, contact the Airman and Family Readiness Center at 784-4228.

Pre-separation counseling
Airmen considering separating or retiring within the next year must attend pre-separation counseling at the Airman and Family Readiness Center before attending the Transition Assistance Program Seminar (TAPS).
